The Freedom Climb is an opportunity for women in all stages, ages, and places to stand up and be a voice for women and children around the world who are enslaved, oppressed, exploited and trafficked today. Undoubtedly, you’ve read the statistics and you are aware that modern day slavery is higher than any other time in recorded history. The purpose of hiking to Everest Base Camp is not just about climbing a mountain; it’s about helping people. The climb is merely a symbolic gesture of what women and children around the world go through every single day. It symbolizes their arduous climb to freedom. Throughout scripture, mountains seem to be God’s select spots to speak revelation and vision to His people. When we stand on the top of the mountain in Nepal, we will be declaring life and freedom for those who cannot speak for themselves. The Freedom Climb offers all women a very specific way to make a difference and bring awareness and funding to projects that go head on with the battle to end this deep stain on all of humanity.
Freedom Climb, 2013 will trek to Everest Base Camp (17,598’) and then summit Kalaphatar (18,192’).
Dates: April 9-25, 2013. 16 nights/17 days. (These dates are actual ‘feet on the ground’ in Nepal. They do not include flight time)
Total: 44 women
We are asking each women to make it their highest priority and goal to raise an additional $10,000 to use towards funding Operation Mobilization projects that empower women and combat modern day slavery, exploitation, oppression, and trafficking.
