Create Awareness

Not everyone can participate in a climb, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be involved! We need people to create awareness about the Freedom Climb and for the women and children being oppressed, enslaved, exploited, and trafficked and to raise funds for this those issues. A great way to do that is by sharing on your blog, your twitter account, or even on Facebook. You can sign up on the Freedom Climb’s website for updates and then share those updates with friends, family, coworkers, church family, etc., or you can wear a Freedom Climb bracelet or t-shirt. Each of these ideas will create awareness for the Freedom Climb and what it stands for. If you still need more ideas, here are a few to get you started:

• Invite friends over for dinner and a movie and donate the cost of going out.
• Sell collectibles at an online or local auction.
• Hire out your youth group to do odd jobs.
• Recycle for cash: collect bottles, cans, ink jet cartridges, or cell phones.
• Collect change: create and set out Freedom Climb change buckets within your community.
• Invite local artists to create justice-themed pieces to be sold at auction.

Another way to create awareness and raise funds is to host a local event in your community.
