Cathey Anderson

Cathey has been married to her husband Mark for thirty years and they are blessed to have raised four children, three of whom are married. She is also "grammy" to three delightful grandsons.  After retiring from teaching in 2008, Cathey and one of their sons started a small farming business called AndHerSon Heirlooms.  They continue to grow heirloom tomatoes and sell them at local farmers' markets.  During this transition, the Lord began bringing global missions into view for Cathey.  So in 2010, she and Mark joined Operation Mobilization, working with donors. Through OM, they were exposed to global issues, and soon realized that the freedoms enjoyed in the United States are not what most of the world experiences.  This passion to fight injustice led Cathey to found The Freedom Climb, as a way to give hope to women and children who otherwise would have no voice.
